About Carefoot Transport

Walter Carefoot & Sons (Transport) Ltd is a major force in today’s bulk tipping industry. Operating throughout the British mainland from our Head Office in Longridge and our Northern depot in Carlisle, we are able to undertake all types of haulage whilst ensuring that our individual client needs are met. This bespoke service ensures that the client comes first and their objectives are met every time.

In 1998, Carefoot’s transport activities grew as the opportunity to acquire H.F Gornall Transport came about. As such, key experience was gained in the glass and recycling industries as our controlled expansion enabled us to provide haulage services for an even larger and more diverse range of clients.

The controlled expansion continued and eventually the acquisition of James Dixon Transport took place. This sound and reliable company based its business around the UKASTA haulage market, which are elements Carefoot carefully selected and procured. At present we boast a number of dedicated vehicles which have achieved TASCC registration to UKASTA haulage - further adding to the services available for both existing and prospective clients.
