Environmental Management

Carefoot Plc has always taken a responsible and considerate attitude to all of the building projects we are involved in. From the planning stages to the completed project, we ensure that all of the resources we use are sustainable and that the equipment used to construct is as environmentally sound as possible.

Carefoot’s conscientiousness has not gone unnoticed by formal award systems and as such we are now proud holders of the internationally recognised accreditation to BS EN ISO 14001: 1996 in ‘Environmental Management Systems’. Together with this award we also received a Civic Trust Award from Blackpool Borough Council for the work that we did in refurbishing the Harrowside Solarium. This development achieved an "excellent" eco rating under the Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method (BREEAM).
